Reiki is a natural healing energy activated by intention. It works on every level, not just the physical. The practice of Reiki is an original method of healing, developed by Mikao Usui in Japan early in the 20th century.
The Japanese word Reiki means ‘Universal Energy’. Eastern medicine has always recognised and worked with this energy, which flows through all living things and is vital to well-being; known as ‘ki’ in Japan, ‘chi’ in China and ‘prune’ in India. Acupuncture, Tai chi and Yoga are also based on the free-flow of this energy in a person.
Benefits of Reiki:
- encourages deep relaxation
- promotes a calm, peaceful sense of well-being on all levels
- regular treatments can promote a calmer response to life’s challenges
- is non-invasive, gentle yet powerful, and may be used with confidence alongside orthodox healthcare

What happens in a Reiki session?
We begin with a chat, taking a brief medical history and learning why you’ve come for Reiki treatment. I will then make you comfortable on the treatment couch (or sitting, if preferred) and carry out the session. There is no need to remove any clothing; only shoes are removed to lie on the couch.
I will place my hands gently on or over the body; there is no manipulation or massage. There is no pressure applied. Reiki can also be given over a distance.
Reiki treatment is non-manipulative, non-interventionist and non-diagnostic.
Reiki is not an alternative to conventional medicine. You should therefore always consult a GP about acute or infectious conditions, and in connection with problems of an urgent nature.
Duration: 60 min.
Package of 4 sessions (10% discount): £144
